Unfortunately everyone knows that this year of 2020 has been a very complicated year due to the covid-19 pandemic and in some more delicate moments we had to pay more attention to our families, friends and other activities …. relieve the head, mind and tensions …
Last year we changed our hosting server, where we left uolhost after 11 years of hospitality (we will not get into the motivation), we migrated to hostgator, with that we won a new domain registration, in this case we won the registration one year of the domain www.dukitan.com.br, which was very beneficial and we used to keep the two hosts up and running for a few months, while migrating our content (website and apps).
The main domain for this hosting was www.dukitan.com.br which is an administrator through hostgator, while the other provider managed the international domain www.dukitan.com.
Initially due to some technical difficulties, only the registration of the DNS for this hosting was performed, however the control remained in the old provider and this worked very well for months.
The only problem was that due to this turmoil of things that happened in pandamy, a small email warning of domain expiration went unnoticed for months, until in November, after a small outage, we realized that the domain www.dukitan.com was not responding like www.dukitan.com.br and it was there that we found out that another company / person there in Hong Kong registered the domain through goddady.com
As the fancy name is an invented word (DUKe + tITAN) it is strange that another company / group has an interest in the brand, but the plug fell and we saw that after 12 years we lost our domain due to our vacillation and perhaps by some company wanting to resell it. it.
Actions
As we lost our main domain, we performed some actions, among them:
- New international domain registration
- Logo change with a new look
- Creation of graphic material with the new identity
- Update of the graphic material of some apps
If you notice old content pointing to the domain www.dukitan.com if it is before today, it was probably our work which can be reflected on facebook, instagram, youtube, twitter, google plus, google play, play games and other social networks, so don’t be completely suspicious of the content, just do a check to confirm that it is in fact the legitimate content that you want to access.
